Plasma Therapy

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or Plasma Therapy is a non-surgical treatment that can dramatically improve the appearance of your skin.

PRP combines two elements: plasma, the liquid portion of your blood, and platelets, or blood cells that play a key role in your body’s natural healing process. Using your blood cells to boost your body’s natural ability to heal, and rejuvenate your skin from the inside out.

Plasma Therapy can be conducted as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with other treatments such as laser treatments and microneedling.

What happens during Plasma Therapy?

Firstly, the treatment area is double cleansed, and numbing cream or ointment, such as lidocaine gel is applied. About 30 minutes to 45 minutes before your procedure, so the ointment has time to work.

At Estheticaa, our 3-step procedure involves drawing your blood, separating the platelets from the rest of your blood in a centrifuge, and re-integrating the platelets into your skin.

The Plasma can be integrated via

Injections or Microneedling or PRP Gun (Mesogun)

A Plasma Therapy session can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the area that needs treatment.

Platelet-rich plasma also uses your own plasma, which reduces the risk of adverse reactions. While you may experience mild redness, irritation, pinpoint bleeding, and bruising or swelling after your treatment, this should quickly resolve within 24 hours.

What happens during Plasma Therapy?

In a day or few after PRP, you might notice that your skin burns or feels tight. Some people also have dry, flaking skin that improves with moisturizer.

To reduce these side effects take care of personal hygiene, wear sun protection and restrict from sternous activities including biking, gyming, running, sauna & sunbathing.
